More House Renos & A Quilt June 16, 2015 Barbara Robson New paint colour, new shingles, it is going to be a long summer! Around the corner, Peter is working on the dining room wall. It has been a bit of a challenge to get the staging in there with the least amount of damage. The holly is gorgeous in the late fall, full of berries. Peter has found all the windows so far were flashed using birch bark. He is leaving it all there. Thankfully this is the last wall that needs new shingles. The rest of the house is clapboard and is in good shape. Making Do at the Canadian Quilter's Association's National Juried Show with a second place ribbon in the "Original Interpreted Bed Quilt" category. I couldn't get to the show in Lethbridge, AB and asked a friend if she could take a picture for me. "They" do not allow pictures in the NJS, strange because they publish a catalogue with all the pictures of all the quilts. I hope I don't get "in trouble" for posting this picture but I am just so very pleased! I hope CQA will reconsider their policy for "no photographs", I think it is time! Two posts in one day! That is a record for me.
